Is value of money “Relative” ?

Scene 1
I am out in neighborhood market & getting photocopy of some papers. The photocopy operator did 15 copy @ 1 Rs. per copy. I have checked & one page was not straight. I showed him his mistake & asked for another copy of that page, which he did. Then he asked me 16 Rs. Instead of 15. I argued it was not his mistake which caused improper copy & I should not be charged for that. He told “My master will not be happy over that & will ask me to pay for that myself.” His mistake is causing me 1 Rs. I was correct & I can argue over it. Even though it was small amount I felt being cheated & left the shop.

Scene 2
I am at a big mall & in a big shop of computers & electronics. I bought web cam costing Rs. 498. I get it billed & paid Rs. 500. The man on the counter told “sir, if you can pay change I do not have the change”. I answered “It’s small amount & you need not bother to pay for Rs. 2, no problem” & I left.

When I think of both of these scenes I think “Is value of money “Relative” ?”

Should we always argue when we are right?

Some times we lose our peace of mind arguing over small points.
